Tradition - Michael Groff was born to the building profession.
A third generation builder, his grandfather traveled the south
building saw mills and his father was also a general
contractor in the Ft. Myers area. From his early high school
days and into his late twenties, Michael acquired nuts & bolts
experience working in most all trades of the construction
industry.
After college graduation in the mid 70’s, Mr. Groff worked as
a field superintendent in the Ft. Lauderdale area until 1980.
At which time he moved with his wife and family to Ft. Myers
and started Groff Construction.
As with any venture, getting started is the hardest part. Until
a reputation was developed, Mr. Groff did much of the sub
contracting work himself from framing to trim work. Very
grateful for the early clients who put their trust in him to build
their homes and help create a stable presence in the
community.
In the ensuing years, Groff Construction became
incorporated in 1988. With a Class “A” state certified building
license, the company is qualified to build any size commercial
structure in the state of Florida, but has concentrated mainly
in the residential home market. From custom homes,
affordable homes, multi-family homes we have been proud to
be a reliable member of the building community in southwest
Florida for some 27 years.
At present we maintain a family run business with our office
located in the Lehigh Acres area of Ft. Myers. We appreciate
